Yeah! She's finished. I'll be listing this 5" x 7" painting on Ebay tomorrow. She's another one of my little red headed angels but this time she's wearing a golden flower with the tiniest baby blue jewel in the center of it. She's been protected with a coating of wax. Anyway...I better be off to bed. It's already 11:30 pm. Thank goodness the kids are still on vacation mode.

Back At It

We had such a great Christmas. It was a little lonely since all of our family lives on the west coast but then again, it was very simple cooking for 4. Anyway...I'm back to painting again and I thought I would post some pictures of works in progress. I've started another small angel painting on canvas and I also thought I would attempt to create a Santa similar to what Jane deRosier (aka: Gritty Jane) had made. I thought it would be fun! You can see them toward the bottom of the page.
Thanks for stopping by.
Just a few pictures from my home in Connecticut. LOTS and LOTS of snow and oh sooooo cold! It's about 20 degrees here in the northwest corner. Just the beginning! I wonder if anyone is living in that bright red birdhouse in the first pic. I haven't seen any heads popping out. I'm sure the previous occupant has long since flown south for the winter. 2nd and third pics are from the backyard.
Have a great day everyone !

Buy Handmade !

Do you remember what it was like to squeeze chocolate pudding through your fingers and then paint a picture with it?...try it again, create something, it will change your life!
The personal commandments of Helen Steiner Rice emphasized optimism:
1. Thou shalt be happy
2. Thou shalt use thy talents to make others glad.
3. Thou shalt rise above defeat and trouble.
4. Thou shalt look upon each day as a new day.
5. Thou shalt always do thy best and leave the rest to God.
6. Thou shalt not waste thy time and energy in useless worry.
7. Thou shalt look only on the bright side of life.
8. Thou shalt not be afraid of tomorrow.
9. Thou shalt have a kind word and a kind deed for everyone.
10. Thou shalt say each morning -- I am a child of God and nothing can hurt me.
This one, I used up some of my iridescent paints. Can you see the sun peeking through the branches? Sold on EBay
Well, I have tucked the kids into bed after a long day. Tomorrow is Friday and then the wonderful weekend! I plan on sleeping in for sure. Anyway...I was able to post a few of the paintings that I have sold on EBay in the past. I haven't had a chance to paint anything new yet but I am very eager to start. I think that this weekend sounds like a good time to dive in. Take care all!

Setting out on a Journey

I am not sure what to say since this is my first attempt at blogging. I didn't even know what blogging was up until about a year ago. The whole point of this is to journal some of my paintings and show some of the upcoming artwork that I will be listing on E-Bay.

So, here goes..... By the way, "Dave the Dog" says hello to everyone out there. He's 14 years old and looks absolutely fabulous for his age.
